From the farm to Montpelier, I know what it means to roll up your sleeves and get the job done.
Vermont deserves a fresh approach towards creating jobs, protecting those we already have and making health care more affordable without excessive government control. After growing up on a family farm, I was the first in my family to go to college, and later to Vermont Law School. I now stand up on behalf of Vermonters every day, and I pledge to stand up for St. Johnsbury and offer common sense solutions to the same old problems that have plagued our community for far too long.
Though not born in Vermont, I am proud to call Vermont home and am thankful for all our beautiful state has meant to my family and me… but I know we can do better. We cannot afford to stand still in an ever-changing world, and we need leaders who recognize that. I don’t, however, think we should look to Montpelier for all the answers. Many politicians are content with out of control deficit spending and a government without limits. In these challenging economic times, I believe Vermont needs new leaders who are not satisfied with the status quo. We deserve meaningful change, and it’s what our founding fathers would expect. My family farm upbringing not only taught me traditional values, but also kept me grounded in what is important—our families and our communities. I believe in doing things right, regardless of party affiliation, and that’s what I will do as your state representative. It is time for a new perspective and someone with the energy to get the job done, no matter how challenging it might be.
Together, we can work for a better St. Johnsbury, and a better Vermont. I look forward to hearing from you.
